
UAE team competes first phase of hotel refurbishment
ChapmanBDSP’s UAE team has completed the first phase of The Address Dubai Mall Hotel (TADMH) refurbishment project.
The first phase of 2018 project, which involved the complete renovation and re-design of the entrance, ground, first and second floors, was completed yesterday.
Some 244 guest-rooms and corridors, from the fourth to the 14th floors, are also being updated, as well as the third-floor spa entrance, 15th floor Club Lounge. A new enclosed all day-dining experience, with adjacent VIP cabanas, on the existing pool deck is also being constructed.
Principal Russell Hunter, who has been working on the project with the client, Emaar Hospitality Group, since 2015, said: “We are proud to announce the first phase of the refurbishment project was achieved yesterday, returning the ground floor public space back to full operation and back to the rightful owners, the hotel staff and customers.
'Our team, which includes Aukett Swanke architects, JR Harris + Partners, Sefton Horne Winch, Design Confidence, have been working in collaboration with Interiors International, the main contractor, to put the spaces and systems through an exacting and rigorous inspection, testing and commission regime, all occurring whilst the main building tower remains fully occupied by residents and guests.’
ChapmanBDSP's UAE team is providing a range of services to support Emaar Hospitality Group and the hotel, including; acoustics, audio visual and IT, flexible lifeline systems, food services consultancy, pool deck dining interior design, architect of record and MEP and structural engineering.
