The building design of The Aviator, mimics the propeller of a Dakota aeroplane. The hotel facilities include conference rooms, gym, restaurants, car park and 169 guest rooms located down the “blades” of the building.
A feature of this building’s design is the location of plantrooms at the end and top of the building to minimize sound transmission from the services installation plant. The guest rooms are provided with high efficiency VRF room air-conditioning system with set back and occupied mode settings.
The central control system remotely monitors the guest room temperatures. Conditioned fresh air is provided through the building and the guest rooms. A high efficiency domestic hot water system is provided for the guest rooms. The water supply system is provided with adequate storage capacity for 24hrs interruption of mains water supply.
