EY 25 Churchill Place

London

We were appointed to provide MEP, Lighting and Fire Consultancy Services for the relocation of Ernst & Young’s London Headquarters to Canary Wharf.

Our scope involved the CAT B fit-out of 200,000ft2 from shell and core.

The intention for the new acquisition was to create an office space for a section of the EY Client facing business in London and as a product of this it required substantial desk space but also client entertaining and training facilities.

The building comprises four levels of agile working floors (330 desks on each floor plate), client suite and entertaining space, auditorium, IT Labs and Client Technology room, resilient main equipment room, new reception and deli bar and staff restaurant.

To support EY, a 450kW data room was created utilising the resilience offered by the building infrastructure.

EY adopted a “workplace of the future” ethos which required a change of their historic working style to one of agile working, flexible workspaces and changes in look at feel through the design.

Within the building EY created a purpose built “Experience Centre”. The centre includes fully interactive technology to enhance EY collaboration with its clients.

It was important to establish main plant and infrastructure principals early as EY had significant tenant plant to support its workplace. The fit-out included client and staff catering, training suites, meeting rooms, auditorium and the unique experience centre.
